I am just 60 years old myself, but I grew up watching reruns of his show, and I still do today. The cast was filled with brilliant characters. Sadly, I still remember the day that Mr. Benny passed away. I was listening to a radio while I was at a bike fair at my elementary school (I was 10 years old) 😢

Pure talent. You rarely find anything of the caliber of the writers and cast today. What passes for comedy today would never make it in the 40’s- 60’s.

The cast of characters were great. Grew up watching but I like the radio programs better. Hilarious

Note the use of the name "Rodney Dangerfield" for the fictional Western star in the New Year's Eve episode!

Love these episodes! My parents were married in September of 1951 and then he was sent overseas for 18 months. I would imagine she listened to these while he was away 😢
