Grocery store employee here, it’s been ramping up since the pandemic. The prices have never gone back down, they’ve kept increasing while size and quality has plummeted. We still get pages of  price changes every week, it’s absolute insanity.

My local Walmart wasn't going to honor the manufacturers $5 off coupon that was attached to the cat litter. They have new checkouts, and the coupons "don't work" at the new checkout station is what the manager said. So, I went to Customer Service to get my $5 and the manager told me he needed to go pull all the coupons off while he is angry and telling me that coupons just don't work here. I had to argue with him to get my $5 and ask him if he was telling me that Walmart no longer honors manufacturer's coupons. The Customer Service counter has to void your transaction and re-ring it up and then scan the coupon. Most people won't wait in line, and then wait for them to void and re-ring your items for a minimal amount, so Walmart is winning. I waited. I wanted my $5!

I hardly buy any processed food anymore because these companies are scamming people and poisoning you at the same time.

Walmart has been sued for the wrong weights. They had to pay millions. And they are still doing it.
