  Paul was going through a very tough time in his life—The Beatles were breaking up. In a dream, his deceased mother Mary told him to “let it be.” He woke up and wrote the song.

  according to Paul McCartney, Let It Be was inspired by a dream he had about his late mother, Mary, who died when he was 14. He said she appeared to him during a stressful time and reassured him with the words “it will be all right, just let it be.” That became the seed of the song.<br>So “Mother Mary” in the lyric is primarily a reference to his mother, Mary McCartney — though many listeners also hear a spiritual or biblical meaning, and McCartney has said people can interpret it however they like

  The Beatles were the &quot;Masters Of Music in the 20&apos;th century. They demonstrated that they could do anything in music from early rock &amp; roll to blues, soul, pop, heavy metal, comic, romantic, hymnal, and psychedelic, When the boundaries of music were too small for their creativity - they expanded them. Absolutely the best of our lifetimes! Their music continues to enrich so many lives!

  Paul&apos;s vocal in this rock hymn is very underrated. And George&apos;s two solos are possibly my all time favourites.
