  Great video! One of the best two up tourers I've had was the trusty old FJ1200. Really happy with my Softail Custom these days!

  For me, the best pillion bikes I've ever owned are the GSA and the RT series.  After 366,000 miles on these bikes we are very happy!

  Great up load but to those that have not had one don't go near a Bema unless you have very very deep pockets In my humble opinion and I dare say I am about to get a slating I would not be given one.. Of all the bikes I have owned in my 70 years the G.S. was the one that let me down the most and to top it all off the most expensive £1000 for a clutch at 35K miles Fuel pump  which was a recall I.E. already had one new one but B.M.W. did not want to give two away cost me over £600 !!! That's not covering all the other niggles YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!

  Great video mate, keep your spirits up. I want to add arguably the most important aspect for all pillions. The rider. Having been a member of many motorcycle enthusiasts clubs and one in particular since the early 90’s, I’ve come across riders of all levels of experience. My first house mate was is 15 years older than me and ended up being my racing team manager (he was an ex Australian Champion from the late 70’s and through the 80’s. He is still the only rider that me as a pillion, regardless of bike, that I can actually fall asleep as his gear changes were helmet bumping free and I had 100% confidence in any corner situations.  Most, (nearly all others) I simply won’t get on the back with any level of “comfort” even if it’s a brand new Goldwing with all the options list installed.  After 45+ years of riding I’ve lost count of all the bikes. From a comfortable two up bike, looking back then the Honda VFR 1200 stands out, same as the FJR 1200. I can remember like it was yesterday when racing in the 95 WSB round at Phillip Island, where a friend had a brand new ZX9R, and matching brand new leathers. I lost a left knee scraper during practice and he begged me to use his, even though I had spares (so people would think he could ride). He also asked for me to ride him back to Melbourne post race so he could experience what it was like to be a pillion from someone he’d just watched race.  After reluctantly agreeing, as the transport of bikes and gear was being handled by others. I was spent, however he didn’t realise how slick his gearbox was until after he’d experienced it from a pillions perspective. So, yes, as you would no doubt agree, a rider plays as much, if not more, into a pillion wanting to go for another ride regardless of machine.

  Not my cup of tea, but I&apos;ve always enjoyed the &apos;turkey warble&apos; sound Honda ST V4&apos;s make at idle.<br> I think you call them the &apos;Pan- American&apos; over in Yurp.

  I owned a 2016 Versys 1000 and my pillion rider really enjoyed that back seat. To this day every bike we ride or try out, that is the standard of which every other bike is judged. I just didn’t like the 4 cylinder power delivery, super smooth and no surprises. If Kawasaki ever offered this chassis with the H2 engine, I would be the first in line to buy.

  Two on the top of my list Yamahas 190kg tdm900 &amp; Aprilia&apos;s Caponord 1200.. the Transalp 650 though has some enduring magic based on its xlv750 Dakar roots.. late 90s early 2000s ergonomics had it right with just enough tech &amp; reliability

  Very much agree with the versys1000. My wife and I tested pretty much all current touring bikes and versys we liked even better than the rt1250.
