  One of the biggest game changers on this engine architecture is the ability to run Lambda-1 fueling strategy, achieving lambda-1 on an engine with this kind of power density on pump gas <b>while also meeting nox emission requirements</b> is incredible. It’s like the automotive equivalent of Space-X Raptor’s full flow staged combustion cycle. If you have a look at the intake runner and combustion chamber evolution from 991 to 992 turbo engines, they started doing things with airflow and charge motion that are unprecedented and represent a huge evolutionary leap in charge motion modeling capability and development of engine control strategies. The 3.6L looks to apply these concepts to a more efficient, consolidated, and mass-market friendly architecture. Combustion stability and engine reliability under these conditions is nothing short of a miracle, hats off to Porsche and Bosch for making it work. <br><br>Also F1 dropping the MGU-H because “it has no relevance to road cars” is a head scratcher for sure… This technology package ( e-turbo + lambda-1) is absolutely the future of ICE’s!

  I like the fact that this hybrid system allow to simplify things by getting rid of serpentine belt, starter and alternator. Next step would be freevalve and getting rid of chains and camshafts 😄
