I've subscribed a few days ago. I lost my husband in December 2025 and it's comforting listening to someone that I can relate to. Thank you for the encouragement, it's really helping me.

My husband died May 8, 2023. I still haven't recovered. The days are so long and lonely. I try to stay as busy as I can but it's still hard. My heart is broken and I wonder if I will ever get better. This 4th of July I really missed him. I miss him all the time but it was more intense this time. Friends took me out to a movie and dinner but I just felt out of place. They had their husbands with them and I was alone. I mostly want to isolate myself because I'm afraid that I will break down around other people and feel embarrassed. I've tried to rely on God but even that is hard right now. Thank you for sharing your grief and allowing us to share ours. It's not easy for me to do. God bless you.

I've been a widow for 20 years. I was 58 and we were married 39 years. We grew up together. We came to Christ together in 1976 at a billy graham crusade. My husband was a happy optimistic man and full of enthusiasm . I think of him everyday. I think of all the responsibilities of owning a home, the yard, a car, bills etc.. people don't realize you take on those roles that a husband carried. Also dealing with three daughters two of which are at odds with their younger sister. If My husband was here he would have put their disagreements to rest. I am afraid to speak that to them. Maybe someday I will. This has gone on for 15 years. We don't get together as a family. No family group photos.. such a change in family dynamics and dealing with a drug addicted adult first born grandson whose grandpa loved so much.
But in all I've seen the hand of the Lord on my life. His protection, provision and love.
I'm sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing your story. As I have found you get through the grief, get stronger, but you never get over it. God bless you .

I've been through becoming a widow twice. Going through it again is really hard. I feel so isolated and alone. I Bible study every day. My prayer is to direct my path and connect me to the people for support. I just had emergency gallbladder surgery and it really showed me how alone I am.

Your video came across my feed I was randomly scrolling to watch something and here u are. Your story mimics mine alot, I been widowed since August 2021 and ad 5 yrs is quickly approaching I look back on all that has happened. Wr had a home i tried to keep up and finally realized a yr ago I couldn't do it anymore, I had to sell ot and like u I stayed and struggled because its where I did most of my healing. It was and still is a very hard thing to have done and even though I'm very blessed for what I have now I often wish I had went out and away from the area especially when I go see my beat friend who was my neighbor and can literally see my house from her yard, I wish everyday I could be there but I know in my heart it truly was the right thing to do. I found Jesus ( ironically that was my husband's name) and its been the best thing for me, I love the lord and he is my strength. I have watched other widow channels and liked everyone of them but ur story is so close to mine i can't believe it. I will be finding and watching all of them thank you and God Bless u and ur family .

I WAS WIDOWED IN FEB OF 2025, MARRIED 51 YEARS. FOR ME GOING TO A GROUP TO SHARE MY GRIEF IS NOT FOR ME. I HAVE MY FAITH AND A DAUGHTER WHO I AM VERY CLOSE TO. SO SHE AND I TALK WHEN WE ARE GOING THROUGH A ROUGH DAY. EACH HANDLE GRIEF DIFFERENTLY. NO RIGHT OR WRONG WAY TO GRIEVE.

My husband & I had known each other 68 yrs, married 48 yrs.
(Childhood sweethearts). I found a Grief Share group lead by husband/wife team dedicated to healing. I was blessed to be in that class for 2 years. Absolutely a blessing from the Lord. So thankful for those compassionate leaders. The Lord is the ultimate comforter. God bless you on your healing journey❤

Losing a marriage thru divorce is like a death too. Harder because of the stigma of divorce. I joined a grief group and I have commonalities w widows.
