There are two tall pale men. The one at the window is different from the one who knocks on doors. At least that’s what one of the guests explains.

The vigilante is the neighbor’s brother. You can even see the resemblance.

i think a lot of this game is about acceptance that we will die. the good ending is serene and peaceful because the protagonist confronts death literally and accepts his fate. in one of the bad endings where you move to the basement with your occupants and there is a visitor amongst you, it mentions how "fear of death paralyzes you" also the tall pale man in black is often how the personification of death has been described, when you're alone he comes in and kills you. i think there might be some commentary on suicidal ideation and the strength of having community and people surrounding you to keep you from it, but this one could be a stretch. i'm sure there is more, but these are some of the ones i've picked up on. i'm sure it's not just about that, but it does seem to be a theme being explored to some degree.

20:38 Fun Fact : Although both the Vigilante and the protagonist get injured in the shootout, the Vigilante gets a shotgun straight to the face, killing him but our Protagonist becomes somewhat of an Anti-Vigilante by going after Armed people.

This games story doesn’t really work without every ending being explained and cross examined. I hope you make one with the actual story.

The pale man looks like Judge Holden from Blood Meridian.

the girl with the cat was the one that made the story so obvious to me. she says "didn't think she'd favor big idiot" that one line told me that maybe there are two things controlling the girls body. the original owner and the parasites. she says this because the parasites know what she is thinking and she is conscience and aware that her body is no longer in her own control. she wants to be shot and killed. creepy af and makes the game so much better.

The audacity of characters. No shame for staying in, kicking someone else and getting food. You are on an apocalyptic world you are in no place to be choosy lol. Also afraid of the danger but still delivering stuffs. I also experienced a lot of bugs that they still have no solution yet. The most annoying one is I lost my progress. I'm active on steam discussions and devs are updating the ones that are fixed.

3:58 I also commented this on your other video, but my theory is that the super visitor can easily kill the protagonist anytime he wants, but he doesn't and instead he's just toying with the protagonist. He clearly likes to psychologically torment others, as shown by how he places a soldier’s head on a pike right outside the protagonist’s window, as well as through his words and behavior in general. By forcing the protagonist to let people into his house, it increases the chance that the protagonist will accidentally let in a visitor and gets killed. At the same time, it raises the risk that paranoia will drive the protagonist to kill ordinary humans, get expelled from the house, kills himself via the cult (and possibly the hole in the basement), etc. Given the super visitor’s nature, he would take great delight in such outcomes. If the protagonist refuses to let anyone in, then the super visitor is unable to torment the protagonist. In that case, since other visitors cannot reach the protagonist, the super visitor takes matters into his own hands and kills him directly.

Frankly, your video isn't good, since you're only superficially recounting the story of one of your runs; you didn't talk about the various revealing pieces of the story, such as, for example, when the bearded guy says he dealt with the pale man before he turned into a visitor, which is quite revealing, or the guy who explains what the FEMA quarantines are like.

I enjoyed the full game, but there are a few things that just don't make sense. Like why can't we just check people at the door? Why let anyone come in if they can be a visitor? The man with the gun that shows up later checks the protagonist through the door, which also doesn't make much sense since he's outside the house. And also, why aren't the visitors hostile to the protagonist during gameplay? They seem to only go after the roommates. I think it would of been cool mechanic that visitors can sometimes jumpscare or attack you
