Honestly, I can’t stop thinking about those 'Night-soil men' and what they had to deal with every single night... 🤢 How would you even react if you woke up in 1858 London? Could you handle that smell for more than five minutes, or would you be on the first carriage out of the city?👋👋

This really shows how important sanitation systems are.

People in the past were often unaware of things that seem obvious to us now. It makes me wonder what we might be blind to today that future generations will look back on and question.

It’s hard to imagine living in London during the Great Stink. The conditions people endured back then really show how important modern sanitation is today. Fascinating history!

It’s crazy to imagine how people survived the Great Stink in 1858. Moments like that really show how much modern sanitation has changed our lives.

I don't understand how the Romans and Greek people had knowledge and learning and ability to build such amazing aqua duct and sewer management . Let us not forget Claudius <br>What stopped the British from progress ? Even native tribes understand basic ventilation

“(<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F33P6HbNHeM&t=567">09:27</a>) Describing the smell as something you could taste made this feel disturbingly real—amazing detail.

We had flies the size of small horses back then.

Not gonna lie, this is entertaining—but I’m not convinced it’s as accurate as it sounds.
