I love the idea of a tiny house in modules. Only thing I'd do different is connect them via an elevated deck . . or . . at least walkway.

All lovely, but the self release swing brought a smile to my face - never forget the inner child.

I love the idea of detached extra spaces. I honestly think this would be a great solution for tiny home people who unexpectedly have kids and don’t have bedroom space for them

My uncle lived on my family's farm in south GA and his home was a small wooden building with a wooden walkway to the second building which was his kitchen. It kept the fire danger and heat away from his bedroom. I always thought it was very practical. Home built and he died in the 1960s.

I also built two tiny homes. One 240sq ft and the second 280 sq ft. There are connected by outside cedar decking. I used rough sawn white pine from the property for the exterior siding. Love it

Youtube got me in so much trouble with this whole tiny house thing. I sold my home & used to money to start making a tiny home. I never built a home before. But hey everyone on Youtube does it. I've done some plumbing & electric & drywall/framing. My buddy who builds house's for a living asked me how long do you think this will take you? I said maybe 5 to 6 months LMFAO. I said to my friend I seen little old ladies on Youtube do it. Well it's over 4 years later. And I bust my ass everyday on this damn thing. I'm 90 grand in the hole. From the very beginning I'd watch Youtube on how to build things. And my friend who would check on me every couple days & would be like what the hell are you doing? There are so many steps & some don't make any sense until 5 or 6 steps later & I find myself saying oh that's why it had to be done like that. It's like saying anyone could be a doctor from watching Youtube lol. The arrogance I my part was beyond belief. My buddy said your watching way to much Youtube.
He said the best thing to me. That made everything make sense. He said just because you seen someone do it on Youtube doesn't make it right. You can build a house that's held together with bubble gum if you want to. It's your house you can do what you what to. I said I want mine built like a real house. So that's what I've been doing. Almost everything was done multiple times. First time I'm just learning (refreshing my memory), the second time I'm like that's not right after looking into codes online. And the 3rd time just cause now I knew I understood everything way better after doing it, & now & I know I can do a way better job this time. It's yours do you really want to half ass something, after all this time & money. People have no idea what there getting into. If you don't know someone in construction to look over your work...forget about it. I would have been screwed without the help of my buddy. I would hate to see what my roof what have looked like without his help. I'm think of making a Youtube channel about what they don't tell you about tiny house. And some of the CORRECT WAYS of building a house. All's I got to say is it is hard work. OSB & other material is heavy. I've been out of work now for 3 week due to being injured while working on this house. I haven't been able to move my fingers in 3 weeks. Stupid 3/4 Pex destroyed my arm & hand. Just be warned & know what your getting into. I'm 47 & done many construction jobs in my life. There's a right & wrong way of doing things. And my God building ona steel trailer is a complete nightmare. You go through thousands of drill bits a couple 400 dollar drills in the process. You get the idea, it's not as easy as they make it sound

Yes, after 11 years in our tiny home, we've now added an annexe to our place, for the very same reason. That extra social space is really life changing.
I let the materials available dictate the form. Everything I use is up cycled and free, which makes it all the more satisfying.
Nice design and use of materials in your design. Keep up the great work!

Neat idea of separating your primary living space from an entertaining space.

I could definitely live in a tiny home, as long as I can have multiple of them.

I wish there weren’t so many laws here in the United States about what you can build on your own property. Seems like it’s a free country you should be able to do what you want as long as you’re not disturbing someone else or taken away from their freedom and liberty. I would love to have a couple of those and then just a big steel building for my motorcycles and not have to pay for a regular house that I don’t need the space and I don’t want to clean it. It’s just a bunch of BS when it comes to that. You have to have special permits on special properties to be able to do that and I think it’s ridiculous. Anyway, love your tiny homes and Great job!
