What an extraordinary account! As an American with no tradition of belief in reincarnation, I find stories like this quite fascinating.

The bar where he spent time still exits and I think we ate a meal at the right one. I wanted to see where that wonderful writer spent so much time. His life was a contradiction between the discipline of the Buddhist practice and the deep love and messy relationship he had with emotions of desire and love. My husband was the photographer for the Dalai Lama when he visited his brother in the US. He hugged me when we were at a press conference. He is a wonderful man.

The best and most accurate retelling of Tibetan history, culture, Dharma teachings and literature comes from Tibetans (who have a rich culture and many scholars). Tibet needs truthful support. Anything else is fantasy, appropriation and insensitivity. It is after all imprisonment, killing, brutal occupation, surveillance, control, &nbsp;silencing, theft, torture, CCP tourism, propaganda, family separations, brainwashing in sinicising boarding schools, widespread avarice, mining and environmental destruction - &nbsp;and attempted genocide. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp; Fantasising like this is more than crass. It is deadly. Tibetans have the respect of the world. China will never be forgiven.
