  This era was nothing other than amazingly juiced up bitter rival football at the most quality football peak, EVER. &nbsp;You can write a book on the story lines of this 90’s heated rivalry. &nbsp;FSU always had surefire headhunter LB’s, DL’s, and DE’s. &nbsp;I’m a Florida fan but respect FSU’s 90’s domination. &nbsp;This rivalry enhanced quality with legendary Keith Jackson calling these games too.<br><br>The chess game scheming with Spurrier’s playcalling vs Mickey Andrew’s defensive scheming was legendary football minds clashing every year. &nbsp;FSU was Spurrier’s kryptonite. &nbsp;Loved too how much this game impacted recruiting more than any other match up.

  As a rabid FSU fan this game was definitely bittersweet. As hard as it is for me to admit to this day, UF was the best team in the country that year. They were extremely fortunate to get the rematch and that OSU upset Arizona St. in the Rose Bowl that year so they needed some help but so did we in 1993 after the Notre Dame loss. As painful as the rematch in NOLA was to watch, I take comfort to this day that we took away their perfect season. The sad thing is that the rivalry may never get back to this peak matchup. &nbsp;The 1990&apos;s was the golden age of college football in the state of Florida. Man, do I miss games like this. What an epic matchup!!!
