  This train system has served its time; the SGR now needs to be fast-tracked. Contracts have been signed and financing is reported to have been secured. Since the groundbreaking ceremony for Kenya’s SGR extension, actual works have been slow, and I don’t think Uganda needs to wait for Kenya to reach Malaba. Uganda can start construction of the domestic line and connect with Kenya whenever their line eventually reaches the border. This would allow Uganda to move ahead with its own infrastructure development while still ensuring regional connectivity.

  This is good news that Uganda's ancient trains are beginning to run again. In normal times, this train is too old and would belong in the National Train  Museum. But in my Runyankore language, we have a proverb: "When you're coming from underground (okuzimu), you can't say that the light/sunshine is weak"❤😅😂😂

  Thanks for the video, i have personally taken the train to Kireka on two occasions in the past. Its cheap and saves you the sore of traffic jam especially during rush hours in the evening. I personally had experiences of another version of Uganda Railways in the early 90s when i would get onto the wooden coaches called "Kayoola", they were meant to carry animals but i used to get onto them whenever i was late for school. Then of course the Kampala to Fort portal, Kasese experience which was also mouth watering. I hope all these routes are revamped. Lastly i like your music and commentary that has greatly improved over the years. Keep representing bro.
