I don’t agree with her philosophy on work-life balance. It’s easy to promote that mindset when you’re ultimately the one profiting by millions. Why should someone dedicate themselves so heavily to a company just for a standard salary? That’s the real issue today — the return on effort for the majority is minimal. People like Steven or Emma can afford to champion the ‘work hard, stay ambitious’ narrative because they’re the ones receiving the lion’s share of the rewards.

The days of breaking your back for a company are over. I've seen some of the most hardworking people I know get completely overlooked while the person with the least amount of interpersonal skills get the promotion. We're all replaceable. Don't let these companies fool you. We're not a family.

There is a big difference between sacrificing your work life balance for your own business and doing it for an employer who will forget you existed tomorrow if you get hit by a bus today. But keep drinking the KoolAid y'all if you'd like

This video is not for people with an “employee mentality”. Employees do get to have a “work life balance”. What she’s saying is if you truly want to be successful and at the top you have to not have the mentality of being able to have every weekend off and to only work 5 days a week. It’s unrealistic. Business owners are ALWAYS on the clock. For those who don’t agree with her philosophy it’s just not for you. Doesn’t mean she’s wrong

Anyone notice its the wealthy American business owners discouraging folks from having a work life balance. When you travel to other countries you realise that work life balance is possible and actually very important and that American work culture is actually toxic. She is an amazing woman and has achieved amazing things but I also would like to encourage the ones who are seeking this balance that their dreams are very valid.
