  One of the most brilliant things about how Sukuna views the JJK power system imo is to do with how he approached his Domain Expansion. Instead of forcing opponents within an enclosed space, he wanted a way to bring his domain directly into reality, both as a way to combat other domains, but also to maximise its destructive potential. To solve this he used an open barrier domain, which allowed the sure hit of his technique to act in real space instead of creating a separate enclosed space. What really astounds me however, is how he took a natural result of that domain having no enclosing barrier, and turned it into a binding vow that because he's technically giving his opponents a clear exit, he could increase the radius of the domain even further. The amount of understanding of the system coupled with sheer arrogance to even attempt such a thing is something only Sukuna would try to do, because he himself has no respect for the system and it's supposed limits, and that's part of what makes his approach to jujutsu so interesting.

  This is only halve the beauty of the power system too<br><br>There&apos;s also the fact that Cursed Energy itself is Gege&apos;s own metaphor for trauma, and so analysing the power systems mechanics through that lens completely unlocks how you engage with the story.<br><br>It&apos;s also interesting that Megumi despite learning to bet on himself, never completes his domain because he still can only manifest his ego as far as it fits the role he&apos;s given himself...He&apos;s not a hero, he&apos;s a Jujutsu Sorcerer; he can&apos;t bet on himself beyond that title and thus his Domain/Ego can only be contextualised within the world...

  Something I love about how they wrote Sukuna is that if you pay attention, his CT is not at all broken; it&apos;s only flexible. You give a grade 1 or 2 sorcerer of average potential Shrine, and it&apos;s a decent technique, but it doesn&apos;t make them as much of a threat as even Naoya or Choso. Sukuna just took his existing gifts and utilized Shrine&apos;s flexibility to its absolute fullest. Dismantle lacks stopping power? Not if I use my titanic reserves and spam them. Cleave is time-dependent? I&apos;ll crank up the output to speed it up and hold them still using my other 3 arms. Fire arrow is slow and requires distance? Ok, I&apos;ll amend the speed with a binding vow and have its primary usage be when my opponent is already on defense in my domain.<br><br>That&apos;s not even getting into how his domain is <b>customized</b> . Granted, this is a bit more speculative due to the nature of domains, but Yuji&apos;s domain explicitly hits the target with soul dismantles since the marks of cleave don&apos;t show up. Keep in mind, although Yuji&apos;s shrine presents slightly differently, there has been no indication that he doesn&apos;t possess the exact same abilities. This means his domain didn&apos;t start with the dismantles on inanimate objects, cleave on things with CE, and the explosive cursed energy oven of doom. <b>He altered his domain through binding vows into a death trap for anyone who tries to domain clash and anyone with anti-domain techniques.</b>

  I’ve always understood CE as “What if The Force hated you?” What Tengen calls Capital F Fate is basically an algorithm generating cycles of misery, oppression, alienation, disaster, etc. that keep CE in constant circulation. It’s not an accident that CE favors the self-involved because that’s the most efficient way to perpetuate strife between sorcerers. For every Gojo with a winning hand, there must be 1000 Miwas clutching a pile of jokers. To people like Sukuna and Kenjaku, their violent takes on social darwinism are simply giving form to CE’s primary function. The cruelty is the point.

  The fact that the finale of the series also goes out of it&apos;s way to prove that regardless of how the world is built, that selfishness is rewarded, that going your own way, breaking away from everyone, and being Sukuna is the only way to climb to the top. This way of viewing the world is <b>still wrong.</b><br><br>All because Gojo, who is as gifted as Sukuna, and maybe even more gifted, decided that the society that was built in this world was wrong, and that he&apos;d personally build up an army to uproot it. And at the end of the series, he might have failed as an individual, but everyone he helped, everyone he reached for, everything he cultivated for the world that he wished was real, it all culminates on defeating the symbol of the world that doesn&apos;t care about you, the world that only cares about that give and take. Gojo builds a world where lending a hand towards someone, where you don&apos;t need to take anymore, only give, is finally possible.<br><br>I <b>love</b> JJK, man.

  i treat gojo and sukuna as admins to a game, gojo is the admin who wishes he was a regular player but can&apos;t due to him being the only reason the game is still functioning. sukuna is the admin who fucks around with game mechanics to see what will happen
