I think you realised this at the end but one of the most difficult things about watching this movie is realising you’re acting like the capitol audience. That by rooting against the Career tributes, wanting them to die (so Katniss survives) you’re losing sight of the fact that every single person in there is a victim. It’s such a smart book, its horrifying and so important.

everyone hates Cato, until you remember Cato is just a kid himself… if you are going to watch the rest of the series, just be warned- it gets even darker. Morality is few and far between in this series, and there are no easy, light choices

My favorite reactions are men that show their emotions at appropriate times, especially when they're high-energy laughers like you. It makes me cry right along with you, even if I've seen the film a hundred times. It shows that you are paying attention to the story, and that you have a heart for humanity. This was a great reaction, full of emotion and personality. I'm looking forward to your reactions to the other films in this series. 😊

It's good that you noticed that Peeta looks worried after Katniss' grades were announced. Getting the highest score is just as bad as getting the lowest. You automatically become a target. That's why Peeta teamed up with a group of pros to get them away from Katniss. It may not be so obvious in the movie, but Peeta is very smart, so he always comes up with ingenious moves.

11:04 Katniss and Peeta are both 16 years old although during the flashbacks they were both supposed to be 11 years old.

Just to clarify Veggie, Katniss and Peeta aren't the only District 12 victors. Haymitch is the only other known living victor for District 12 in the main three books ( and four movies.) That's why he's their mentor. Previous victors of the hunger games become mentors for the next tributes. It also explains why Haymitch is a raging drunk. He's been watching other District 12 kids die that he's mentored since he won.
