The system I am using right at this moment was built from a PSU, Motherboard, CPU, NVME, and RAM I bought from Newegg, 2/22. I had my own case. Been a customer for a lot longer than that. Never any problem. But this back story is incredible. Wow...

Logged into Newegg for the first time in years this week. I was greeted with a message that I had been a member for 24 years lmao. Ordered a case for a NAS build and a hard drive.
Only reason I used them again was they had stock and the best price for what I was looking for.

Newegg is so expensive now. And the selection of “sold by Newegg” seems to be less! And the shipping isn’t as fast!

Microcenter has much better prices

Started building from Newegg when they came online. Monarch computers and CompUSA went under. Circuit Circuit was another spot that went under.

Once they moved to a market place format I stopped using them. Before that most of my builds came from them.

In the past Newegg and another company Mwave were the company I shopped for computer part. Mwave is shut. And I don't buy from Newegg anymore. There is one incident with Newegg that changed my view. I bought a brand new MSI mini ITX motherboard. I received not a factory sealed one. I didn't think too much at the time because I trusted Newegg. The MSI mb was experiencing rare but periodic boot up issue when trying to power on. When I concluded the MB is the issue the return window is closed. So I troubleshot and found out the Nuvoton IO chip was drawing too much power from the CMOS battery. I fabricated a simple circuit that converts the 5V stand by to 3V to power the Nuvoton. The proper fix is to replace the Nuvoton and that should be done by Newegg and the manufacturer.

I recently purchased an ABS pre-built gaming PC from Newegg. Excellent value, and the machine is great. This is one of many purchases I have made from Newegg over the years. Never a problem.

I just build a PC in July 2026 with parts from Newegg. They were fast, no problems. I made some mistakes ordering some wrong parts, I got a rma without a problem. I never had problems with Newegg. Maybe I was lucky. I will order again without hesitation.
