I’m a former MMAL EMPLOYEE and was there til the closure of our plant in 2008. The Ralliart Magna was produced under the guidance and direction of our beloved CE Mr Tom Philips whom unfortunately passed away in 2024. This car was brought to market to give the Australian Car Industry a shake up and demonstrate to the others what we were capable of producing. I remember seeing the first pro type right through production and I was there at the Motor-shows show casing our achievements. It was a clear demonstration that we as a Company were also passionate about what we could achieve. I look back at those days from time to time with nothing but how proud I was to work for Mitsubishi Motors Australia. We were a family and we cared about each other and the products we were building.

Bunnings Snag: A cultural icon. It is a single sausage served on a slice of white bread with fried onions and tomato or barbecue sauce, sold at hardware store fundraisers....for the rest of the normal people...

I would just like to say something. The Australian built Mitsubishi Magna is one of the most underrated cars ever built in Australia. My wife had a job at a hamburger restaurant a big one. And had Magnas and Camrys as company cars. She ordered a Magna Advance manual. V6 3.0. What a car. Australia built some amazing cars.

1:31 my coworker used to have a Mitsubishi Diamante just like that, theirs was burgundy. They just dont make em like they used to. I miss seeing more Mitsubisi cars on the road. With Nissan brining an all new body on frame Pathfinder I hope Mitsubishi can get some action with a shared platform body on frame 4x4 Ralliart Pajero Montero Dakar thing for the streets. That thumbnail is great

I've seen one almost daily recently here in southern Adelaide.
I remember Ed Ordynski coming into my work with a plain white development car with cage in it.
