  Not fair! Other people get cool eldritch powers but when Sam looks outside he gets snatched through the window like a McDonald’s sprite

  I like the mechanic where you gain more exp if you take more time to explore before returning home, cause it incentivizes you to take risks for greater reward

  The entire interaction with the teeth-covered little brother was probably the most tragic wholesome thing ever. The slow dissociation during playtime, his gratefulness for you hugging him, and the giving of gifts before he knew he was going to die…That really got to me.

  i like that the showers gives you insight on the quests you&apos;ve embarked on and how to solve the issues you&apos;re running into. you know....kind of like how you reflect on your issues in a shower.

  I feel bad for Joel. He’s only 8 and he’s missing a face, has multiple rows of teeth, and has to fight a bunch of monsters with a stranger who killed his family.

  The ones that look outside become the infectors, while the ones who get bit by the infectors stay sentient but have monster parts. Kinda cool

  Along with the empathetic take on cosmic horror, I LOVE that you also just can’t quite tell who to trust at the beginning. You’re encouraged to do kind things to people who, at their cores, are still people, but at first anyone who is sky-scorched seems like they’re going to hurt you no matter what. Amazing game

  I love how despite how fucked the situation Sam is in, the soundtrack instils that feeling of hope with every part of the game. Beautiful radiance.

  Keep in mind:<br>Time only passes when you explore a new location, and the lady on the second day said it&apos;d been several days since she saw her daughter, so i don&apos;t doubt time is severely warped by the presence of the visitor<br><br>Also imagine being that shopkeeper, a guy walks in followed by an 8 year old with a mouth from his chest up to his eye sockets, and somehow he&apos;s just chill about it
