  Late comment, but a good tip if you are removing brake lines. If you push the brake pedal a bit it will hold the fluid and not drain the reservoir.

  I work on diesel pickups and farm tractors. To save starters and batteries there is a hack. Soak a rag with gasoline and hold it it in air pipe to turbo that goes on air cleaner. The engine will almost run on the fumes so it cranks over really fast  and starter load and battery amp draw is reduced a lot. The time for injection pump to fill rail and air  to be purged out of injectors so that it runs is a few seconds. Another hack: when you dona repair where brake lines are open and it is a vehicle with direct master cylinder actuation (not a brake by wire system like G05 and other newer platforms) depress brake pedal with a stick at least 30mm. The m cyl piston will be far enough down bore that reservoir fill port is not open to bore and brake fluid will not drain while system is open. Your skill set impresses me but some tips and tricks come from years and years and working with many others that bring tips and tricks from others. I am 68 and your videos have added to my 50+ years in this trade.

  There is a Kit for a CP4 disaster prevention kit, this keeps the metal shavings out of the rest of the fuel system and restricts it to only the fuel pump, should have installed it during this

  Just wanted to share that you really encouraged me to work on my E90 M47 engine, as an IT guy I was really surprised that I managed to take apart and put together everything and even engine started without any issues, especially that it was my first time taking injectors and valve cover off. Had my dad helping me but he barelly knew anything about diesel engines, especially BMW ones. Thank you for your videos and effort you put into making them, they really helped me and were really usefull
