We need to remember how long ago this was written by Jeff and then consider there's been nothing like his musicality since. No other musician or songwriter has come anywhere near him probably never will. He's utterly unique. 🙏

'Concerto for a Rainy Day' was worth the price of this double album alone.

Jeff doesn't just write songs, he composes them, and he's a master of transitions. One thing you have to remember, most bands have Writers (both music & lyrics) Musicians (the band) Arrangers and Producers etc, OR there's Jeff Lynne

This concerto was composed after a run of bad weather, which ended with a beautiful day day. Another work of art inspired by life.

It still after all these years makes me tear up. I had this on vinyl in 1977. ❤

Continually grateful that this phenomenal masterpiece exists in this world - it is truly jaw-dropping that Jeff Lynne, amongst much great work, could come up with this.
