You've already done, Telephone line, Tightrope and Livin Thing from this album, you might as well do the rest. 🤷😁

Raygo, if you want to experience a non-happy ELO song, you should react to their 1976 song, "Mission (A World Record)", from this same album, A New World Record. Jeff sings the song from the perspective of an alien who's put on Earth as an observer to see if humans are acting as good stewards of the planet. The mother ship checks in with him from time to time, asking, "How's life on Earth/What is it worth?" It's a haunting tune, and one of the earliest environmental protest songs in Rock history.

Ah..., the 70s! I was a teenager in that decade and ELO was one of my favorite bands/groups/singers, whatever, from that era. From performers like Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, John Denver, Little River Band, Queen and the Bee Gees, the 70s had it all. The decade was also filled with some iconic one-hit-wonders you loved to hate and hated to love. From hard rock, pop rock, prog rock, soft rock, yacht rock, country rock, and disco (to name a few), the 70s had a genre for almost any taste. With some exceptions, the music from that decade has always been on my go-to playlists.
For many reasons, the creativity of that era has waned somewhat. These days we concentrate more on buying things, controlling things, and copying things. We don't create, build and fix things anymore. It's easier to copy and paste something, rehash an old idea, or simply 'sample' (aka steal) a known success, than it is to come up with something new, see it through till the end and accept failure as a possible outcome.
Why have we lost our creative edge? Maybe it's the concentration on STEM training and an abandonment of the arts. Maybe it's the introduction of personal computers, the internet and now AI that has made life quicker and easier (and made us lazier). Maybe it's our need for instant gratification and accolades for even the small successes. Or..., maybe it's a combination of all those things or something entirely different.
Bring back the arts. Encourage patience and tenacity. Reward innovative thinking by providing a fertile environment for development and a showcase for results.
Creativity in music and other artistic outlets is an indicator that we're getting back on track when it comes to solving problems and making life more enjoyable. Creative thinking is rewarding in so many ways.
How did I get from ELO to STEM? Who knows what turns the cogs in an old coot's head.
Support the arts. Start enjoying the benefits of a creative human mind, else AI will fill the void (God help us).

DoYa was originally by the Group The Move which was made up of members of ELO before it was created. Jeff would play it in ELO concerts before releasing the ELO version as it went down really well with the fans..... Still wish you would do Fire On High from the album Face The Music

This whole album is awesome. It was one the first albums I owned. Living Thing was the hit on the radio that got people buying this. I bought this and next thing I know I’m buying their past albums and going nuts for ELO.

Both tunes, Tightrope and Do Ya are off the same Album, A New World Record, might as well do a reaction to that album to finish it up! :)

This song was written when Jeff was a member of the Move (1971)

In the original Move version Roy Wood says "Look out baby there's a plane coming" at the end. Hence when Jeff re-did it he says "Ah look out"... then the aeroplane sound at the end.

During ELO’s mid 70s to 1980 purple patch, they were releasing 2–3 UK hit singles a year, and sometimes more. Every song had obsessive detail and immaculate production that made each one feel like a fully formed world.

You should listen to ELO's Discovery album! It has some really great tracks. Some might recommend Eldorado because it's more progressive, but to my musical taste Discovery stands out, even though I love all of their albums. And as I mentioned in another comment, Jeff is a genius: he writes the lyrics and music, produces, and on top of that plays multiple instruments (guitars, bass, piano/keyboard, drums, banjo, a bit of cellos, violin, etc.), which I suppose also helped him compose those masterpieces.

"A New World Record" is one of the best ELO albums, maybe the best. But, "Eldorado" will always be my favorite ELO album.
