Hi Sunny, I wanted to share that I tried some of your food recommendations and wanted to share my experience with Gyoza no Katchan Sennichimae Stire 餃子のかっちゃん 千日前店. They charged an additional “table charge” to foreigners. I checked google review only after I visited this place and multiple people mentioned that this is the so called “tourist charge” that some restaurant do sneakily to get additional revenue cause of additional cost to hire staff who speak English. I waited for my trip to end to see if any other restaurant did this and no none did. Wanted to leave this comment here not to blame you for the rec since I did not do additional homework when copying your itinerary and also cause you speak Japanese but to inform other tourists(non Japanese speaker)who might want to use your itinerary and recommendation of this potential charge which is not made known upfront.

I followed Sunny’s Osaka itinerary to the letter — even stayed at Meander! One thing I added was having breakfast at Cora Coffee. Honestly, it was the best coffee I had in Japan, and the food was delicious too. Later, I was strolling around Dotonbori after enjoying some takoyaki and kushikatsu, and guess what? The cherry on top — I ran into Sunny and K. on the street! Such a lovely surprise!

I like that your husband is Japanese and from Osaka himself and you live in Japan as a native, so you get a real in-depth look at Osaka and other parts of Japan for that matter. Due to the aforementioned credibility, it puts me at confidence in your experiences and suggestions. Aside from that, video format wise, I like how set up your videos, very down to earth with some cute shots of the area and great feedback. Thank you for posting and having a channel like this, it's very educational, informative, and has fun too. It's also cute to see your husband camera shy haha.

Your videos have English subtitles, so I use them to study English listening.<br>Japanese English teaching materials have robotic pronunciation, so your videos are very helpful.☺

FYI. If your phone was not made in Japan for Japan, you cannot install the IC Card on it as it does not have the hardware necessary or the hardware is not enabled.

I adore your map editing with usage of Google Earth, clips of the locations, and the cute thumbnails. Just a wonderful touch!

Osaka has a longer history than Kyoto or Nara, and is the birthplace of modern Japanese cuisine and the tea ceremony established by Sen no Rikyu. I hope people will take an interest in Osaka beyond the stereotype that the media portrays.

Thanks Sunny, used your advice. Can confirm the excellent views from Osaka Sky Building. We went today (21Mar2025) blue skies and good views. The haze was in the distance, and not too cold. I can also confirm the museum in the other tower, 27th floor is excellent. Particularly the 3D sculptures. Pay attention in the film … if you don’t have the card mentioned at the start of the video, you can buy a double ticket for Observatory and Art gallery for JPY2800. We forgot the Showa era restaurants in the basement, rats!

Surprised and heartened to learn that so many restaurants offer English menus, lol! My Japanese is shaky, and my kanji is downright terrible, so it's nice to know that when I get to visit I'm likely to have a ripcord in the form of a qr code if my reading skills fail me. XD

I am taking a last minute trip to Osaka - I decided last week that I was going the following week - this is invaluable because I was having anxiety about planning my 3 day trip there. Thank you for doing literal angels work.
