  The reason everything is very high detail outside the map is because rockstar had five entire hours of cut content, guarma map, Mexico and some parts of the grizzlies and parts near Annesburg.

  would&apos;ve loved if they actually made guarma it&apos;s own map, it would&apos;ve made that section longer too, which personally I thought was the most intense part of the story and was maybe a bit too rushed, I would rather have a bit less of the main world in exchange of having this other entire section on a vastly different location, but I get it, the game was still amazing as it was

  I know this video is older but Guarma is actually connected to the main map, that little island at the bottom of the map is Guarma if you go further. I went through the barrier and kept running straight with my horse and I ended up at Guarma without teleporting, but you will end up at the top of Guarma. Not only that, but when you arrive at the top of the map on Guarma, and look towards the ocean you&apos;ll see more land WAYYY in the distance and if you keep going straight to that land, you&apos;re gonna end up at the main map which is super super weird

  The reason why outside of the grizzlies is so detailed is because in the beta it was bigger than it was supposed to be like it is now which is why the outside of it is so detailed

  Those mountains far out are probably auto-generated. Alot of games use auto terrain for added detail.
