The use of a ring in place of a cage is stupid. You just add in the possibility that the Ref has to step in to stop the action to keep someone from falling out, or to stop someone that has put their arm over or around a rope. The cage is a much better solution. Not perfect, but much better.

Any promotion that is looking to come out now needs to have a mixture of two things: 1. Big names (regardless of whether they're washed etc.) to get the casuals and for marketing. 2. Quality unknowns they can build (fighting cans for their first/second fight to get their tournament spot, then have the tournament fights on the undercard under the washed names).
