  @WendallExplores, thanks for visiting. There is a real story behind the temperature the BBQ meats are served and it has a history in Vancouver&apos;s Chinatown that threatened the existence many BBQ shops. In short, in the 70s, Vancouver started to enforce that BBQ meats must be maintained at 140F or below 40F for food safety reasons, eventually shutting down several shops because they would not comply. The main reason the shops did not want to do that is because once the meats are roasted, continuing to maintain a 140F temperature would be to essentially continue to roast it to a state of being overcooked and wasted food because nobody would buy it. There was no evidence ANYWHERE of food poisoning from chinese BBQ meats and after almost a decade of a battle, an exception was made for traditional chinese BBQ &apos;display cases&apos;.   That lady didn&apos;t say you&apos;re not gonna find a succulent chinese meal in vancouver. &nbsp; She said the chinatown isn&apos;t so big. &nbsp;That&apos;s because the China town got so big it migrated to some larger real estate south of vancouver proper to a city called Richmond. &nbsp;You will find your succulent chinese meal in Chinatown, as well as neighboring municipalities. &nbsp;And you will find lots of succulent chinese meal vendors especially in Richmond.

  I used to live in the DTES for years, I don&apos;t anymore, but I know for a fact the dogs that live down there are absolutely well loved, well cared for and well protected.No one would dare harm a dog down there, there would be trouble for them if they did.

  The biggest issues with the Downtown Eastside is partially what the guy at the Alibi Room said about the previous mayor allowing encampments. The second part was the Provincial regulations to decriminalize all drugs as the Scottish guy in the first video talked about. The reason they closed down Riverview in the 1980s and throughout the 2000s was because a) it&apos;s a shit hole of a place but b) because the west coast had a thought that was likely a continuation of the hippy movement that it was more humane for people to make choices for themselves rather than being cooped up indefinitely in an asylum. That&apos;s obviously a false premise even if from a good place. These people are deeply addicted and there&apos;s effectively a full business of keeping people homeless going on down there. We need to make it socially unacceptable to be doing drugs in the streets and get people clean. I always thought the ASBO system would work well for helping with parts of breaking up these drug-addicted communities.
