The saddest part about this twist is she isn't mad at him at all. She's still in love with him. So in love she can't even sleep in their bed anymore. She has to fall asleep watching the wedding video on the couch. She still celebrates their anniversary. She's so heartbroken she refuses to stop doing all the things they used to do when he was alive.

When you watch the movie a second time every scene with Anna is incredibly sad. Because you realize that isn’t angry. She’s grieving. She’s trying to move on but can’t.

What I think was the best part of this when it came out, was that this part was so good, people stfu, and spoiled nothing. Kind of a big deal that everyone didn't spoil the 'he was dead the whole time' bit to every one else. That is a rare thing indeed.

We viewers all saw Malcolm clearly get shot & chose to believe he survived. We saw what we wanted to see. We're the ghosts.

Most haunting reveal I have ever seen. The twist was hidden in plain sight, but noone could see it. This movie works as a thriller and a drama.

It's worth a re-watch, not just to check Malcolm's interactions, but also that Cole knew he was a ghost from the first time they met, i.e. Cole was helping HIM, not vice-versa. ; )
