Fishing in the african rift valley on a log, basically, with nile crocs and hippos, is next level insanity

What impresses me more than his fishing and knowledge of biology are Jeremy's people skills. I don't know how many languages he learned for his show, but dude was multilingual and jumped at the chance to meet and get to know people all around the world. Aspirational, honestly.

I wish they made a show called saltwater monsters where Jeremy would go after huge sharks, and other killer saltwater fish like marlin and tuna. I guess they kinda did this with season 8 but would have been cool for that to be an entirely new show after river monsters ended

No way in hell I'm going in the Nile River with a man-made flimsy raft with giant crocodiles and there's hundreds of them maybe thousands and hippos. Like you're begging to be killed at that point.

It's so funny that the bear just kept chilling around them even after the warning shot. He's like what the hell man I'm just trying to chill with you guys 😂

Imagine catching your first salmon and a literal bear comes over and steals it. Wild!

I miss this show immensely and wish it would make a return but love that Jeremy came back with spin-off series’ like Mighty Rivers and Dark Waters, there needs to be more though, there is never enough River Monsters action to satisfy longtime fans of the series.
