  The curse of Bobby Lane still lives on. The 2023 Lions go all the way to the NFC Championship and were winning 24-7 at halftime and then lose 34-31 to the 49ers and miss Super Bowl 58.

  True story. While the Comcast Technology Center (the new tallest building in Philadelphia) was in the middle of construction and topped out in 2017, they put another William Penn figurine on the top of the building. Guess what happened in 2017.

  I have a thought as to why the Ohio pro teams are "cursed."  Art Modell, Paul Brown and the entire city of Cleveland dissed the AFL.  Modell once said the Denver Broncos would never play in Cleveland.  After the merger, the Broncos were the first team to shutout the Browns at home, and then of course, the Drive and the Fumble.  Paul Brown returned to football with the Bengals and although they were in the AFL, Brown said it was only to get back into the NFL.  And Cleveland fans decried when it was announced that the Browns would move to the "inferior" AFL, soon to be AFC; forgetting that 20 years earlier, the Browns were the team coming from the "inferior" AAFC to the almighty NFL.

  Oh my god, Stafford, the guy from the same school and same street as Bobby Layne, gets traded just like Bobby Layne and immediately wins a super bowl with the rams. The lions might be cursed for another 50 years after trading him

  I read an article on a reporter who went to Pottsville to check out the legend of pottsville back in 2008. He encountered one of the oldest people their who saw the maroons win the 1925 title. The guy mentions that after the title was stripped one of the players or whoever went to a local gypsy and brought on the curse on the Cardinals for their taking their title.

  Patrick Mahomes is such a anomaly that he became a victim of the Madden curse and beat it in the same season by winning the Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP.
