  I keep saying this, Manila really is a gem. It&apos;s just hidden under a bed of bad traffic and pollution and 2 to 3 storeys of stairs HAHAHHAHAHA<br><br>Metro Manila businesses should really learn how to be very visible at the street level.

  Bro, the kare-kare. You HAVE to pair it with the shrimp paste (the little bowl on the side) to eat it. A tiny dab per spoonful, or you can put it all in the bowl of kare-kare. IT HAS TO BE PAIRED.

  Kare kare is supposed to be &quot;tasteless&quot; or &quot;bland&quot; because you get the saltiness and flavor from the bagoong which is a fermented shrimp. also you don&apos;t mix the sour/soy sauced tofu (tokwa&apos;t baboy) in the porridge.

  trying the pickup coffee and the comment about it 😂😂 so real!! too sweet for my liking too and we have expression if the drink is too sweet “nakaka jabetes” (diabetes)

  love it when she said Manila is cool. its not pretentious, not needy, doesnt even want validation. Manila isnt the most beautiful but its cool and yep iykyk kinda city.

  This is so authentic ✨ <br><br>Btw, the Kare Kare is paired with shrimp paste, it&apos;s so salty that&apos;s why the based sauce of Kare Kare is a bit on the bland side. 😊<br><br>Missing home big time, Filipino here living in the UK. Thanks for the tour!
