  I had postpartum depression 50 years ago. &nbsp;I suffered for 6 years. &nbsp;I kept begging for help, but nobody checked for this back then. &nbsp;Finally, 6 years later when I felt like I was in slow motion as if floating on a cloud, and being in a haze or fog, and went to my doctor did I finally get help. &nbsp;His comment to me was, “How did you ever let yourself get this way?” &nbsp;Like I did it on purpose. &nbsp;My postpartum experience happened immediately after birth. &nbsp;I startled like I was having PTSD. &nbsp;I laid in my hospital bed and saw myself up in the corner of the ceiling looking down at myself and wondered what was wrong with the person that looked like me. &nbsp;I was sad, lonely, and not interested in the baby even though I had prayed for her. &nbsp;I was not myself. &nbsp;I too couldn’t sleep. &nbsp;My thoughts would race over and over again. &nbsp;I would finally fall asleep at 4 am into a very very deep sleep, only to be awakened by the baby. &nbsp;I could barely keep my eyes open to function. &nbsp;I also had a two year old at the time. &nbsp;One day my son had a nightmare. &nbsp;I went to his bedroom to console him. &nbsp;Now remember, this is a two year old. &nbsp;He said to me, “Get away from me….you are a mean man dressed like my<br>mommy.” &nbsp;And on and on my story goes.” &nbsp;Seems to me that the doctors and people who create the DSM5, is way behind the times! &nbsp;They still don’t get it and it is 50 years since I went through this experience. &nbsp;I also was afraid if I admitted myself into a psych. facility, they would say was an unfit mother and take my children away. &nbsp;Sound familiar? &nbsp;I was anxious, depressed, irritable, tired all the time,, couldn’t sleep. &nbsp;I would become so angry and over react that I would lock myself in my bedroom and beat my pillows and scream, so I wouldn’t beat my kids. &nbsp;<br>Later after finally getting the help ai needed from the proper antidepressant, I went back to college and graduated with an TN degree. &nbsp;I was a med surg nurse for 5 years and a psychiatric nurse for 18 years. &nbsp;I was able to help my patients a great deal because I LIVED IT. &nbsp;Postpartum is real whether the DSM5 says it is or not!<br>I hope this opens the medical communities eyes and changes their dark ages perception of postpartum depression!

  This is hard to watch. No wonder this so-called psychiatrist resigned his position after this cross-examination.

  Reddington questions display question bias that’s why Dr. Mack keeps trying to explain his answers. Reddington acts like he’s proving that there’s a test can prove a person is lying but his example is a personality test 😂 What a joke. I don’t think that’s the purpose of that test.

  For those of you thinking Mr. Reddington was unprofessional or, more accurately, frustrated with this witness: I can tell you he wasn&apos;t hiding it on purpose. Everything this man does is strategic. During today&apos;s testimony, and Friday&apos;s for that matter, he didn&apos;t need to hide his frustration, because it was obvious the entire room felt the same way once the judge called the witness out for not giving straightforward answers to straightforward questions.<br><br>Everyone in that courtroom is at the tail end of a four-week-long trial. They&apos;re all exhausted, and more importantly, so is the jury, who don&apos;t do this for a living. So I guarantee these never-ending answers, the ones that force the defense to repeat, rephrase, or circle back just to get a simple answer, aren&apos;t being viewed as helpful by anyone, least of all the prosecution.<br><br>On top of that, Mr. Reddington established early on that Dr. Mack has no experience treating women, that his psychiatric expertise is limited to adolescents with substance use disorders, and that his &quot;expert&quot; opinion should be given little to no weight in this case.<br><br>All Dr. Mack accomplished was pissing off the entire courtroom by refusing to cooperate with Mr. Reddington in his need to prove his own expertise.

  This man should be qualified as a hostile witness. &nbsp;And is STILL unqualified to testify...... &nbsp;Somehow when prosecution asks questions, he is able to provide &apos;yes&apos; or &apos;no&apos; responses, but never with the defense.

  This testimony got very interesting. Lindsay&apos;s body temperature – the conspiracy theorists use this to say Patrick was lying because she must&apos;ve been laying in the snow a long time because her body temperature was 82°. But this testimony shows her body temperature was 82° after she&apos;s been in the hospital For quite a while. The snow was not the cause of her low body temperature. Sure, that would have been the beginning of a lowering of her body temperature, but there was something else going on because it remained low for hours after she was in the hospital – it was 82° after she&apos;d been transferred from one hospital to another, had CT scans, had an MRI,… And it was at 82°. This testimony is very important at pushing back against the conspiracy theorists.
