As an Australian who has travelled extensively in Canda, I can say they are very similar in many ways. The moment I crossed the border from the US into Canada, I could feel it in the air ... "I'm back in a normal country now". Chatting to Canadian people felt normal, just like talking to folks back home. I drove fro Vancouver up to Yellowknife, which had some stretches of long, straight road not dissimilar to driving from Cobar to Broken Hill - no bends, no hills, no fences, no buildings, no towns, just long straight road for hour after hour of driving. I loved it.

They are both great countries. I am an Aussie and Canadians are very welcome here. My little family will be visiting Canada in 2027.

It''s funny because ALOT of young Canadians go to Australia for school and to work for a bit, while at the same time ALOT of young Australians come to Canada for school and to work for a bit. Each country has it's pluses and minuses...but both on a world scale are fantastic.

I’m an Australian who absolutely loves and respects Canada and Canadians. They are polite, funny and a wonderful perspective on life. Recent events have made them prouder and stronger. I also include New Zealand, very similar to us in lifestyle and attitudes. 🇦🇺❤️🇨🇦🇳🇿

I am Canadian and we absolutely love and respect both Australia and New Zealand . We would like to form CANZUK , a union of Canada , Australia , New Zealand and the United Kingdom . We all have so much in common it would be a very powerful trading bloc with 140 Million people .

I am a Canadian who visited Australia in 2023. I loved it. Felt totally at home. Australians are fun loving, kind and respectful. I love their accent. I was surprised how quickly I felt at ease. I will definitely go back. I did find it kind of expensive though …

As a Canadian I've always considered Aussies our warm-climate cousins. Having met a few while traveling, we are very similar in our vibe.

We say Aussies are the warm Canadians, and they call us cold Aussies. We're two sides of one coin.

There are a lot of immigrants from the Netherlands in Canada but no one really notices them because they are not so different from most Canadians. In particular, in the past 30 years, a lot of Dutch farm families have moved here and bought farms. Apparently the reason is the abundance farm land and space to expand. Even if they pay top price for the land, apparently it is very inexpensive compared to Netherlands. Food production is the solid foundation of every modern economy and so I consider these people very welcome and a great asset since most young Canadians seem to have little interest in farming.

I'm Canadian and went to Australia on a business trip. I found the people wonderful and the country beautiful. I found a few Aussies who asked what was it like to have such extreme seasons. Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined and in summer you can swim and water ski in them. In winter you skate on them and climb frozen waterfalls. When I got back my wife asked what Australia was like. I just said "Canada, with a tropical climate." Canadians consider Australians as family.
