I’m Costarrican but raised here in the USA since I was 5 years old. When I see videos like this I feel proud to be Tica and everyone always tells me how beautiful my country is and some have even asked me what I’m doing living in the USA. I wish I could live there but it is  expensive so I only visit whenever I can. I love to see how everyone enjoys my country and speak very good about it. ❤

Great video! The one thing I wish you had talked more about is the actual cost of traveling around Costa Rica. I did the math for my family of three, and just the entrance fees and activities for the places we wanted to visit came to around $900. Then you still have hotels, food, a rental car, gas, insurance and all the driving. After comparing everything, I decided to book Caravan Tours – Costa Rica Natural Paradise, 8 Day Tour instead. With flights included in my calculation, my total comes to roughly $2,000 per person. For me, it actually works out cheaper and much easier. I don't have to rent a car or drive on unfamiliar roads, I already have a guide, transportation and an itinerary, and I don't have to worry about missing something. And honestly, my family isn't the best at getting organized in the morning 😂. If we're on our own, getting everyone out of the hotel can take forever. With a tour, if the bus leaves at 8:00 AM, everyone knows we need to be ready at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKyTPOXNLN4&t=480">8:00</a>. For our family, I think the guided tour is simply a better value and a lot less stressful.

I haven't even finished watching your video but I can't thank you enough I booked airfare then realized I didn't have a solid plan just knew of Jaco but didn't want to stay there my full 7 days I can tell I'm going to follow some of your recommendations thank you so much!
