Noticed a fifth change I missed? Drop it in the comments and I'll keep this list current.

Just took my first cruise - RC 3 nights LA to Ensenada. Had always heard that cruise ship slots don't pay as good as those on land. I finished 3 days of gaming with $75 in net winnings - a small win total but sure beats losing. Have to check with RC to see if they automatically enrolled me in their gaming points program?

As a Casino Royale member I am shocked 😱 by these changes. Great video layout and easy to digest. Thanks for the info

Thanks for the clear explanation of the changes. Realistically, the fares for cruising have increased. It stands to reason that the "tipping point" for the free and discounted cruises would also increase. The Casino Loyalty increase goes hand in hand with the non-gamblers' fare increase. I don't gamble enough to support my cruise habit so I appreciate my Crown & Anchor loyalty benefits that I don't have to re-qualify for each year. That has worked for me. Diamond Plus now, Pinnacle next year. Thanks again for your due diligence and an excellent presentation. 😎😎😎

A great way for cruise liners to get trapped passengers on board to empty their pockets. Usually passengers are happy when they leave the ships as no more burden carrying so much money in their pockets.

The video poker thing makes sense. If the house edge on slots is roughly 10% and it's less than 3.33% on the video poker setup they have them 3 times the wagering needed.

It's the same with roulette. Lots of people online claim that on Royal ships with a double zero wheel you will likely get the wager amount in points every 10 spins. 10 dollars wagered, 10 points in 10 spins. If you just reduce that then it's 1 point per spin at 10 dollar wagered, which is twice slots and the house edge is 5.26% which is roughly half the house edge so double the wager to make the same money.

It's almost like these casinos understand how to extract money from people or something.

I haven’t sailed Royal yet but have been getting casino offers from other brands.

Most disappointed in the annual cruise being downgraded to an inclusion list rather than an exclusion list. Will definitely be rethinking how much I want to cruise Royal going forward.

A good video on bad news. Thanks for sharing it. Already knew about video poker and the $3 convenience fee, but the $100 booking fee is just outrageous. Granted, it is bad for them if we cancel a comped cruise, but on Princess, for instance, you pay a non-refundable $200 deposit that COMES BACK TO YOU in OBC if you take the cruise. It's a win-win for guests and cruise lines. Also, the money you are expected to lose is now about the cost of cruises on those old vision-class or radiance-class ships. Why waste several hours at the casino breathing smoke and losing money to earn a "free" cruise that costs you about as much as you'd lose? Even being half-way to pinnacle I have decided it is time to move to competition. Already tried Princess and maybe MSC is next. I'll cruise Royal just to keep my Prime status (about 2-3 cruises a year) and do the rest with competition. I hope many people do the same so they stop being so greedy.

Ah, and a "fifth" change would be the reduction on the free play on instant cruise certificates, which were partially reverted. Maybe you mentioned that on previous videos.

Perhaps it may be time to switch to Celebrity. You can also earn Royal's C & A points. I am on a recent sailings on the Millennium. 2000 points you can get A 100% free 8 nights cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. 2000 points on Club Royale will earn u mostly 1 guest free or 2 guests free for a lot of the 3 and 4 night sailings.

Blackjack doesn't work on a point structure like slots, you get points but its calculated by your average bet and how long you play. They won't release the calculation
