Like every professional voice reactor, all of the emotion, and even lyrical content, goes completely over her head.

The devil couldn't have committed all these acts without the help of humans... Very intelligent songwriting!

Jaggers voice gets more animalistic as it goes on, and add to that the percussion driving it along, the piano becoming more prominat towards the end, and the backing woo woo, the lyrics are stark and clever.

I get that she is all about the singing, but this song deserves to have the lyrics listened to.

"Sympathy" and "Gimme Shelter" are the two major Stones songs where the studio versions have never been equalled live. The records are perfection.

The nature of his game is to take us all with him to death , for he is already condemned , the music goes well with him

The late, great Nicky Hopkins on piano, lest we forget.

Half the people who react to this song aren't even listening to the words, which is what makes this a great song; they are just glossing through it.

To me, in this song, the devil is revealing himself as The Rolling Stones are revealing who we all are.

The guitar work is brilliant! It lacerates through the song and contrasts with the beat and woo woos. The devil isn't all bragadotia, style and seduction. There are terrible claws.

Nicky Hopkins played on so many classic songs back then.
