What a quaint little building. The fact it's in such good condition, I wonder why both building and surroundings, aren't maintained to prevent the structure falling into disrepair. Such a shame.

To the 99% of Jamaican YouTubers doing wonderful work—God bless you all.

I want to thank you for the amazing work you're doing: helping the homeless, building homes, feeding families, and changing lives. Your subscribers and donors are also making a real difference through their support.

I have one humble suggestion. Why not come together as one? Imagine if all of you joined forces to build or create a safe place for Jamaica's homeless—a place where they can sleep, bathe, receive medical care, and where those with mental health challenges can be looked after with dignity. I truly believe people in Jamaica and around the world would gladly support and donate to such a project.

Also, let's put aside jealousy, competition, and arguments over who has more subscribers or views. It's not about who is bigger—it's about helping people. Together, you could make an even greater impact and help get more homeless people off Jamaica's streets.

May God continue to guide, strengthen, and bless every one of you. Keep up the wonderful work. Jamaica is proud of you.

It’s always a bonus when you can interview locals. Literally, this type of work is akin to the Federal Writers' Project in the US which was after Reconstruction and during the Great Depression. You are a gem. 🙏🏽❤️

The Abbey Anglican Church held service on second and third Sundays up to a couple of years ago. The Abbey was part of the St David’s Anglican Cure in Yallahs but due to the passing most of the elderly congregation leaving only one member a decision was made to close its doors.
The church was full renovated after hurricane Gilbert, hence its perfect condition.

I would like to thank the vlogger and Mr O Gilvie whom I personally know. I grew up in this community of St Thomas. Yes this neighborhood is a most beautiful place with a rich forgotten history. Every bit of detail is true . The Judgment Cliff, The Abbey at Cocoa Walk, Orange Tree an abandoned village, Gordon Castle Baptist Church destroyed by Hurricane Hilbert. The abandoned great house mentioned also called Abbey . Llandewey needs exposure to be a part of the curate of St Thomas' history.

Mr. Ogilvie isn't just a walking encyclopedia. He's the encyclopedia, with bonus stories you won't find in any textbook! 😊

Every word he shares makes you appreciate St. Thomas even more.

His knowledge is far too valuable to remain only in conversations. It should be documented, preserved, and celebrated for generations to come. As St. Thomas continues to emerge as a tourism gem, I sincerely hope the relevant authorities see the importance of preserving its historic buildings and making Mr. Ogilvie an integral part of that journey. Who better to tell our story than someone who knows it so deeply?

Jamaica has many beautiful places, but it's people like Mr. Ogilvie who give those places a soul. We must preserve both our heritage and the living legends who keep it alive. 🇯🇲👏🏾
