  The reasons most Filipinos applying for Dual Citizenships are Financial and Property Ownerships, EXIT PLANS , aside from those are the Emotional attachments. Financial , Yup Retirees Does not want to Pay Dual Taxes, wants to own businesses as well. Retirees want to buy Homes and Lands not just Condos, Retirees mostly has ongoing Health Issues and USA has better and Higher Standards Healthcare Systems. In any event of Political, Disasters or any reason for them to leave the Country, they can LEAVE at any Given Time. Emotional Attachments, Filipinos would rather spend the Precious Time they have left before their Final resting Days in Their own Country.<br><br>The Biggest Reason is &quot;It&apos;s More Fun&quot; in the Philippines!!!<br>😃🥰

  There are good benefits to avail if you&apos;re a dual citizen like the benefits of 20% discount of public transportation, cost of groceries and medicines etc in the Philippines. So I don&apos;t regret of having a dual citizenship. God bless Miss Jennifer.

  @JenniferTerri correction regarding Thailand:<br><br>Thailand allows multiple nationality by birth, but not by acquisition.<br><br>However, alien women spouses will not lose their former citizenship. &nbsp;It only applies to alien males who acquire Thai nationality by naturalisation.

  I applied for dual citizenship for 2 reasons. Geopolitical uncertainties- wars etc. It’s better to have 2 passports than 1. As there are many non-US or Western aligned countries allow Philippine passport to enter their country ‘visa on arrival’ especially ASEAN countries. Where cost of living is cheap if we wish to flee for a limited period. Second, for my young kids. Again it’s better to have 2 passports than 1. Giving them all the best possible opportunities of having 2 passports especially when they will be of legal age they can decide what to do with their citizenship. And it’s their ethnic heritage and sense of connection to the Philippines. They can chose to give their Philippine citizenship when they are old at least they cannot blame me for not giving them Philippine citizenship when I had a chance. Apparently, you can only apply citizenship (if they are naturally born to a foreign citizenship ) for your kids when they are 18yo and younger.

  I am retired and staying in Occ. Mindoro. Not dual , since I have 1 year to stay, I just exit. My pension still in American bank but I have on line banking which I made transfer to local bank here. Reason why I opted not to be dual is the hassle when I exit . to have etravel requirement both coming in and going out secondly I travel at least 3X a year

  @JenniferTerri<br><br>• Republic of China (Taiwan) allows multiple citizenship, but not Communist (Mainland) China, or Chinese who are residents of Hong Kong and Macau (native-born or naturalised)

  I plan to retire early and just travel back and forth here in the US as my son is still young. Maybe I will do my dual citizenship then. Thank you for this video.
