Correction: when exiting US, always show both your US and Philippine passports and when exiting Philippines show your both your US and Us passports and show only US passport when entering US.

Before departing the US and obtaining your boarding pass, the agent may ask to see a forwarding ticket (ie R/T), or Visa stamps to help prevent overstaying; this would be one of the reasons to show a Philippine passport as a dual citizen upon departure from the US. This usually happens when traveling on a one-way ticket.

If you are a US citizen, regardless of which country you work, you will ALWAYS be taxed. The US is one of the few countries where it taxes its citizens abroad as well as at home. If you have the opportunity not to work, do it. As for me, I am fully retired. I do NOT work anymore. I don't work in the US or in the Philippines where I retired. At the same time, I"m a dual citizen. So, it's not a problem for me.

Dual citizenship is not loyal to any country, it is used more for benefits and business endeavors. I said what I said.

🤔 The thought of paying income taxes for 2 country was something I didn’t agree on. I had no intention of going back either. <br>My family has no properties even lost properties, so no property taxes.

One of the main problems with having US Citizenship is worldwide citizenship-based taxation, FATCA reporting of bank accounts outside the USA (including bank accounts in the Philippines), and the requirement to report of foreign businesses on Form 5471.
