  I've no motivation for anything, part of it is depression, a bigger part is the enshittification of culture.

  A wise doctor told me once that most depressed people are actually just very discouraged people. We live in very discouraging times - especially if you're a social media addict or a you tube junkie with a toxic algorithm..

  It's a collective form of ptsd that everyone is dealing with post covid. Without acknowledging the symptoms it can be very difficult to overcome the cause. Apathy based on the existential crisis many experienced when they realized how pointless and superficial most of our distractions actually are can be overwhelming.

  When everything that people used to rely on to feel happiness or fulfillment became a business, that's when things started losing its intrinsic value. People used to bake cookies to have fun, then they made a business out of what brought them joy. Or people used to practice meditation to feel at peace, then they started selling meditation courses to make money. People used to make arts and crafts to release stress and do something enjoyable, something beautiful. Then they opened an Etsy shop to sell their crafts. The problem behind is the capitalist mindset that puts a material value onto everything as a way to be more rich, to have more and more. That is the death of the things people used to enjoy.

  What’s even more sad is that we’ll say, “damn, I don’t have 2 hours to watch this movie” because it actually feels that way, but then we’ll doomscroll before bed for 2 hours easily, if not longer. It’s not really about the time; it’s the mental engagement that feels too taxing to undertake.

  We woke up realising that we are enslaved into the system  that is feeding off our energy .Consiquently we begin to miss core of our soul and actual true values .I had this realisation when i popped  into the shop and some kid didnt had enough money for drinks,  facing rude judgmental cashier.I ended up buying drinks for kid .Kid graditude,joy  and relieve made me alive again.Just to make this kid happy.

  I've been getting into the nerdy shit I was either too poor or too embarrassed to try as a kid. Magic the gathering, D&D, Warhammer... and they all come with so much lore and things to do it's hard to be bored. Helps heal my inner kid tbh.
