Easily the the most horrifying, yet fascinating Godzilla ever created. A grotesque creature in constant pain who evolves to potentially reach a god-like omnipotence.

I know it’s stupid but the fact that he’s in constant, unimaginable pain makes me so sad.

Only the creator of Evangelion could have come up with this reimagined version, and one this truly nightmarish!

I have never wanted a sequel to anything as much as I want one for Shin. Minus One was a great film as well, but Shin... Shin is just sooo much more fascinating and horrific. The potential is just unmatched.

If there was part two, it would become a real horror movie, I would love to see that

One of the best, criminally underrated Godzilla movies not talked about nearly enough.

Never knew I needed to see a cosmic horror Godzilla until now.

Crazy how for most of the film Shin Godzilla kinda just wandered around aimlessly and the destruction it did cause was entirely accidental.
No need to waste energy lashing out at something attacking you if it can’t even make a dent in the first place.

It only became aggressive after a pair of stealth bombers managed to actually hurt him with bunker buster bombs and from that point on it became actively aggressive towards anything that flies since because of the stealth bombers it assumed anything artificial that flew near it as a threat as any wild animal would threat something that hurt it as a legit threat to itself.

Not once did it attack out of malice, and again it only became actively aggressive once the military actually managed to hurt it.

Shin Godzilla is basically scp-682 if you think about it.

Here's the scary part: the humanoid forms started sprouting after he was frozen.

It's crazy how it was about to start fighting on our level. I loved this movie. I haven't had an ending to a movie freak me out like that in a very long time.
