Jack and that group of players, over 10 years, did a huge amount for the collective Irish psyche - above and beyond football; we started to believe in ourselves as a nation. They were wonderful times, as anyone lucky enough to have lived through them will know...Thanks for the memories, Big Jack 💚

“It’s a job of great possibility” I never heard that quote before and it definitely had meaning.

What was great about Jack’s teams is they fully represented the Irish diaspora 🇮🇪

The man, myth and legend. Strutted in like a gunslinging maverick with a serious plan. Right man, right job, right time. That being said, he was never quite the same after the infamous England game at Landowne Rd in 95. Still though, thanks for all the magical memories Jack...

He was 60, but he looked like 36. Joking :P. Anyway, I remember in Romania, a newspaper after the defeat in that playoff against Holland "What Jack Charlton scared of, he did not escape. Santa Claus came dressed in an orange cloak."
