The world needs less Walmarts and Costcos, and more family run general stores like this!

What a great testimony by a group of sincere people. It’s heartwarming to know these places still exist.

OMG!! Jane is so sweet! And you can tell by her shaky voice that she truly feels the love and cherishes the memories of loved ones and the way life was back then. That sweet little store couldn't be in better hands. God bless her and YOU for caring enough to help preserve the past for us all!!!

I am very thankful for the wonderful people who carry on history and traditions. I'd love to visit there one day but am afraid I'd never want to leave.

My granddaughter and I were going to a friend of mines house that lives about 3-4 miles from your store. I asked her if she had ever been in an old store like this. She said no. We stopped in and walked around for about 30 minutes. We had a great time going back in time as we walked around. I was telling her this is a how it was years ago when I was young. Thanks for keeping the Good ole days alive in today’s times. It was a good papa and granddaughter day!

I Love this story! Its Very cool she left the tractor right where it sits out of respect and reverence. God bless her.

I grew up in a general store in northeast Mississippi. My grandfather opened it in about 1917, when he died in 1944, my father took it over and ran it until he retired in the early 70s. We lived next door to it and I spent most of my early life working there, pumping gas (in a visible, gravity feed, gas pump), coal oil (hand crank), and learning how to wait on customers. I treasure the memories of those days. I even still have some of the old signs from the store.

What a lovely place with lovely people. The tractor 'memorial' gave me goose-bumps, and I loved the sentiment behind it.

She mentioned her childhood memories getting off the school bus and looking forward to a Mountain Dew and chips then dancing around and play. It's still the same beautiful country store, Yup she's still that same little girl:) Heart touching story.

What memories come flooding back from my childhood listening to her and seeing all the wonderful things in this beautiful building. I hope the place never changes.
