  I can imagine Talion finally Branding this guy and just telling him “every single thing that led to your rise to power was molded by my hand. Every death was calculated, everything was planned. You have your experiments Bagga, but you…were MY experiment.”

  Imagine being an orc in sauron&apos;s army, killing Talion as a slave, rising through the ranks to become overlord, just to find out you where just a game to Talion. And he could&apos;ve beaten you anytime.

  This is amazing, but when you think about this, it&apos;s kind terrifying. &nbsp;<br><br>Imagine you&apos;re Bagga. You&apos;re just a random orc with a predilectionfor alchemy. A nobody, a grunt, a peon, a literal slave. &nbsp;You&apos;re doing slave things and one day, THE Gravewalker just appears in front of you. &nbsp;The scourge of your kind, just drops in your lap. &nbsp;But you&apos;re no punk bitch, so you fight him. &nbsp;And you win! But he&apos;s the Immortal Gravewalker, so he comes back, looking for vengeance. &nbsp;And he&apos;s strong. Way stronger than last time. &nbsp;He takes out every one of your mates in a few seconds and absolutely slaughters your blood brother in no time flat, but you kill him again! Then you rise up the ranks some more, kill him some more, and even better, now there&apos;s fort he just lost. And the guy that took over? Has he killed the Gravewalker as much as you? Of course not! &nbsp;So you challenge him and you win. &nbsp;You&apos;re now in control over an entire region and you&apos;ve got your own castle. &nbsp;And what do you know here comes the Gravewalker again trying to take back the fort he lost. &nbsp;<br><br>But you&apos;re Bagga. &nbsp;You&apos;ve got this. &nbsp;And then the attack starts. &nbsp;But somethings different this time. &nbsp;His forces are strong. &nbsp;Really strong. &nbsp;They quickly take down your fortress and all of the sudden he&apos;s at your door. &nbsp;However, you&apos;re not that worried yet. &nbsp;You&apos;ve already beaten him too many times to count, you&apos;re fighting him in your throne room that&apos;s rigged with traps. You&apos;ve got plenty of backup, archers your trusty bodyguard with his badass flamethrower, and when he comes, is just him. &nbsp;Oh this&apos;ll be easy, you think. &nbsp;<br><br>But somethings different this time. &nbsp;He&apos;s coming at you with more ferocity than you&apos;ve ever seen from him. &nbsp;If not for your bodyguard, you might not have survived. &nbsp;You won, but your victory has never been so difficult before. &nbsp;Not long after this, your bodyguard strikes out on his own, but you find a new one pretty quickly. &nbsp;Then the Gravewalker attacks again, and again he decimates your forces in short order. &nbsp;But you&apos;ve been here before. &nbsp;You&apos;ve overcome this exact situation before. &nbsp;You&apos;ve got your trusty bodyguard, and you know how the Gravewalker fights and what it takes to beathim, you guys can do this. <br><br>But then the unthinkable happens. &nbsp;Mug, your body guard, betrays you. He&apos;s overwhelmingly strong too, and just when it looks like you&apos;re about to die by his hand, the Gravewalker teleports in. &nbsp;His hand sears your flesh and as he shames you, his words radiate into your mind carrying nothing but sheer agony. &nbsp;<br><br>But it&apos;s okay. &nbsp;You went from slave to overlord. &nbsp;You just have to defeat the traitor he installed as the overlord of your fort. &nbsp;So you get to work, but he tracks you down shames you again. &nbsp;And again, and again. &nbsp;Every time he does, he shames you and a little bit of your mind breaks with every encounter. Then comes the one that changes everything. &nbsp;This time, the burden is too much. &nbsp;As he shames you, and your mind shatters, a dawning realization washes over you. &nbsp;Why had he been so easy to defeat before? Why can&apos;t you beat him now? And it hits you. &nbsp;He let you beat him. &nbsp;He orchestrated your entire rise from slave to overlord, and when you got too big, he orchestrated your fall. &nbsp;He even kills you a few times. &nbsp;And all of it because he was bored one day.

  I once had an orc called the Ancient One that I swear would not die. I eventually recruited him after the 10th time because he finally looked unique enough to be in my army. Then he got jumped by a pack of Ghuls and I never saw him again.

  I&apos;ll always be amazed by the nemesis system and infuriated that they were allowed to copyright it. 15 more years before any game studio could try and mimic the nemesis system, imagine how incredible the system could be with modern AI behind it...
