  People in my dorm always compared me to kim Reese on the show...we were both the chocolate girls,  cute smiles,  same name, I was pre med and known for my strong study ethics...and today I'm a practicing ER physician...I loved this show ❤

  Jasmine is an absolute diamond. &nbsp;When Ajai &quot;Gina&quot; Sanders said she was homeless <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CubVpAvkH2E&amp;t=1873">31:13</a> and the first person she spoke to was Jasmine who came up to her and said &quot;Hi my name is Jasmine and welcome to the show&quot;....just goes to show you, be kind to everyone you meet as you have no idea what they may be going through.

  I&apos;m 65 years old. &nbsp;I watched every single episode plus had an opportunity to be hired as a union extra on 3 episodes. &nbsp;The television show, &quot;A Different World&quot; is a piece of national treasure. &nbsp;Thank you to the entire crew, actors and executives for bringing these grand episodes/examples of African-American and American life to the entire world. 💝💝❤❤💝💝🙏🏽🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

  I lived and died with this show. A year out of high school and one year into a military career..it just seemed like someone had peeked in on my life IN HIGH SCHOOL, not college (because I didnt go to college). But a lot of what they were dealing with in college was stuff that I dealt with personally in high school. The show grabbed me in a way that felt like the producers of the show, KNEW WHO I WAS as a young black person. And that happened when Debbie Allen took over the show. Before she showed up and got everybody in line, I watched the show in a very objective way...never attaching anything personal to it, because I had my doubts about how long the show would stay on, in the first place. I loved the battles between the two legends, Diahann Carroll and Patti LaBelle. And anytime Jenifer Lewis popped up, you knew you were going to have fun.

  I was in the military, same age as the cast. I took college classes while in the military because of the show. &nbsp;My oldest baby girl’s name is Jasmine, &nbsp;my friend (another soldier girl) named her son Kadeem, my daughter’s bff name was Jaleesa, and my son’s friend’s name was Cree. &nbsp;<br><br>All of us Soldier girls named our kids after y’all. &nbsp;Thank you and Love Different World Forever. ❤
