I just watched up to minute 18, before I noticed that your microphone is fixed to a fork. That made me smile today!

1. How to menorize fast? → memory palace, acronyms, acrostics, rhymes and songs, chunking (breaking info into small parts). Combine them, for ex, use chunking to break things down and turn each chunk into acronyms
2. How to reatain info for a long time and never forget? → "strenght your memory connections" = retreat & retrieve → spaced repetition step 1: encoding the info > step 2: our brain organizes and returns info ready to be retrieved later > step 3: retrieval with the need to have a trigger to recall back the info (a smell, for ex).

Have a nice day!!

Used to be obsessed with memorising Pi when I was younger and did over 100 digits and naturally found it easier to pair them in 3s. Everyday, I added 6 digits everyday. My math teacher throughout I was crazy because I actively write down all the digits I remembered from the day before and see if I can add in the 6 new digits without pause. (Over 10 pages full of Pi in my maths notebook 😂) Didn't even know this was actually a real Mnemonics technique for numbers.

By creating this video, you used a tool that encourages permenance. You taught the informaiton. Not just the information, but the idea, the purpose. Info+purpose+teaching=permanence.

I'm so sorry that your grandmother has Alzheimer's. I can't imagine that it's easy to watch her forget. I am glad that you are thinking about memory deeply and how to preserve it. Thanks for the tips.
