  Airbnb is significantly more expensive than hotels now. Its just not fun, not as clean, and you are nickle and dimed over everything.

  We have degenerated into a disgusting culture of hyper- consumerism vs speculative investment and now no one, in every single sector that can be named, can rest, take a break or live a normal (yes normal) calm unchaotic life.

  One has to wonder who pays $400+ a night for an average AirBnb in Jacksonville. Seems super expensive. You can find gorgeous hotel rooms for half that prices.

  Jon, I am a landlord with over 50 tenants that I manage directly.<br><br>The consumers ARE strapped, you are correct! The vast majority of people struggle to pay their bills or their rent on time. People have a little money and disposable income but it goes really quick.<br><br>A simple vacation, a car breaking down, a small reduction in work hours is enough to wipe most people out.

  Airbnb made me realize that for me a vacation is not having to wash dishes. And with their pricing a hotel + eating out or even an all inclusive resort is prob cheaper lol. My only fear with the upcoming decline is that properties will get gobbled up by PE before actual people can get to them.

  I live in North West Alabama. I have been watching Zillow for the past 3 years so I can get a feel for property prices when I finally decide to buy. I am seeing about 5 Airbnb types come to market every week now. It seems like Airbnb houses started flooding the market about couple months ago.

  Here is a great passive income idea: <br><br>Start changing a $150K entry fee for all investors who bought in your neighborhood. And $1500 / month protection fee to operate a detrimental biz in your neighborhood. If they miss payment, go to to their homes and say hello. Dont pay again, the rental is gone overnight
