  Well that didn't quite go as well as I'd hoped. Let me know how I did for a first time player. More episodes are on the way! And I'll do better ... maybe

  At one point you were crafting something while wiring cabling.  The crafting stopped.  You commented that you ran out of power.  But you had not.  Because you were fiddling with cable connections between the crafting machine and power source, it got interrupted, which stopped the production.  Hopefully lesson learned.

  As others have said, Stationeers, while it looks simple, is a deep game with many complex systems and mechanics in it, making it a rich and very rewarding game to play. But to get to that point, you must climb the steep learning curve. A brutal start was probably not the best choice as you&apos;re just in for a punishing time without a solid knowledge on how things work. Admittedly, I&apos;m not the best at this game, I have 2000 hours and brutal starts are still difficult on the harder planets.<br><br>A few pointers:<br>- in the beginning (on mars only) you can eat and drink during the day, if you do it quickly, without damage. Night time is too cold and you&apos;ll risk lung damage.<br>- get a toilet as soon as you can, it will save you so much water - you can filter the water with evaporation if you don&apos;t have charcoal. However, you need to understand the way the game does phase change, it&apos;s almost the same as RL, but different enough to cause issues.<br>- a QoL, get a portable light, will make the video better too as its not just fumbling around in the dark or the intense red of flares (you can paint flares to change the colour)<br>- getting lost is a real problem. head off in a direction and look back to your base and take note of the heading. Until you get a beacon, darkness is a risk.<br>- on mars, waste is not really needing to be collected as the atmosphere has everything you need.<br>- you <b>can</b> make a dirty breathing mix with Oxite ice, but you need a portable tank to melt it in. Put the ice into the canister slot of the tank and most of it will go into the tank, some will escape. Once you have a few MPa of gas in the tank, you can put your O2 canister into the tank and it will fill. <br>- you <b>should</b> have started with a mkI O2 tank and maybe a water tank near where the crate spawned. <br>- given your O2 canister situation at the end, you did the right thing, swapping out the waste and O2 canisters. There is some O2 in the waste your suit can reuse, but it will be mostly CO2 and will empty quickly. Also, it dirties your O2 canister, and if you then put that into your O2 tank, will dirty that too.<br><br>Words of caution: <br>- on brutal a storm will come around day 7, but is randomised so it may be a little earlier or come later. A storm will damage your solar panel and blow away anything that is not bolted down or at least partially built. <br>- The mk1 tank, and normal canisters max out at 10MPa and are *<i>not insulated</i>*. Give yourself some heat expansion room and stay below 8MPa. <br>- Oxite has N2 in it, you <i><b>need</b></i><b></b> to also include one N2 filter in your suit filtration, otherwise you will suffocate after a while. Its something that catches everyone out at some point. The suit filters will only pass what the filters are into the waste, plus any O2 used for cooling your suit. Without the N2 filters, N2 will build up and displace the O2, the pressure and temperature will look fine, but you&apos;ll eventually get oxygen low warnings and pass out. If you get warnings, use the flush button in the helmet window (press number 1), that will pass your helmet&apos;s contents into the waste tank.<br>- I don&apos;t think you have any liquid N2 or CO2 canisters for a portable air conditioner or fire extinguisher, but you should have a water one. I cannot stress this enough - Liquid canisters are time bombs once they are removed from their insulating packaging. The water one is not bad unless it gets hot, which is unlikely, but LCO2 and LN2 will warm and blow up from over pressure, taking out whatever is in a couple frames radius. <br><br>I commend your enthusiasm for trying hard mode. But please, start on normal, there is so much to learn, and if its a game you want to play long term, you need to not get frustrated with it, which is a risk with starting on brutal. The first moments after you land on brutal are critical and having the correct operation order is the difference between success and failure.

  Well... for starting out stationeers... it would be best to use all the available kits on the lander to help...<br><br>&quot;sees brutal, stationeer, beginner&quot;<br><br>... where&apos;s my popcorn. This&apos;ll be a good watch. I could give feedback but you seem to be further along so probably not needed.<br><br>I will say the playlist is backwards? latest video first

  Couldn&apos;t have summed up better the whole episode as with the intro lmao, tho It would be way way way more aproppiate for a run on Venus or Vulkan haha.<br><br>Great video! Always love to see new people hopping into Stationers.

  Your first time playing and you choose a Brutal, Stationeers start. &nbsp;It seems like you have at least watched some other play. &nbsp;But starting your first play with those settings, I&apos;m not sure you actually wanted to play for long.<br>Stationeers has a steep learning curve. &nbsp;May give yourself a chance and at least do a Normal start. &nbsp;Food, water, power, and oxygen last a bit longer to give you a chance to at least get used to things.<br><br>So, have you figured out everything you did wrong yet?
