  The tone shift from Peace Walker to Ground Zeroes was crazy.<br>You were fighting a Metal Gear with Japanese Pop in the background and then you&apos;re rescuing Paz from a place where she suffered unspeakable things through inhumane torture, being literally gutted like a fish to plant bombs inside her body, having to dig in her abdominal cavity to take out one of the bombs...<br>Playing this game back in the day was almost surreal.

  Ground Zeroes was a checkpoint to The Phantom Pain and it gave me a glimpse of Big Boss&apos;s story. What fascinated me the most is learning to infiltrate to make better decisions in an environment that is free range.

  GZ and TPP remind me a lot of Twin Peaks season 3. Finally got our thing back, but it’s not how we wanted it, our MC is back but not the same, and just left us with chills and an uncomfortable amount of unanswered questions, then both series just end and die forever right after.

  MGSV was my first metal gear game and i played the rest of the series 4 years after it came out. One of my favorite series to this day.

  <b>Ground Zeroes</b> is why I think if Kojima produced a game telling of a man sitting on the toilet would still be a masterpiece.<br><br>And I am not even joking, nor trying to point out any bad remarks of Kojima&apos;s work. On the contrary.

  I think for me the most tragic part of MGSV, is when you look at the characteristics of Naked, Solid, liquid, and solidus, one of the most common is that non of the snakes wanted to be elevated into the position they all carried as a legendary soldier. I think the reason why V doesn&apos;t respond to skullfaces evil monolog is because V doesn&apos;t have that philosophy about himself yet. While he appears as Big Boss and commits war crimes in his name, he had yet to develope the idea that murdering in the name of peace was justifiable. V at heart is a medic that, despite all of his mental recoding, still chooses to not kill the traitorous Emmerich, and breaks up fights between his comrades, even if he gets himself stabbed for it. Venom is a combat medic first and Big Boss Second. So psychologically speaking, he could be actively trying to repress himself by acting as Big Boss and not talking like Big Boss that much. Because words carry out our Will, and Venom Snake&apos;s no longer exist within himself.

  The biggest information decrepecy we experienced is how philosophically profound and cunning Skullface was in GZ and suddenly in TPP he became a cheesy 80s movie villain, Revengeman

  The Eye and Finger end up switching identities between GZ and PP. I felt like that needs more examination in general

  Plus Miller knew who Paz and Zadornov were in PW but now in GZ he&apos;s saying we believed their original cover story. That felt like MGS2 where they spoke of changing facts subtlety because most wouldn&apos;t know to question it
