  It’s crazy how many of these action legends just disappeared from the spotlight. They defined an entire era of movies, and honestly, some of them still have more charisma than most action stars today. Would love to see a few of these legends make a big comeback!

  The repeat of &quot;impossible physiques&quot; seems odd because that was not really a thing during the time these actors faded. Ya, there was Arnold, but he was the exception.

  There was no &quot;studio system&quot; in the 1980s. &nbsp;The studio era died out in the 1950s with the rise of television. &nbsp;The movie &quot;studios&quot; later on were mostly distribution companies. &nbsp;They weren&apos;t at all like the system that existed up to the early 1950s. &nbsp;The actors of today are not employees of any &quot;studios&quot; but instead are freelance.

  Funny that Bronson in the lineup photo looks to be 6-feet tall, yet he was 5&apos;8&quot; on a good day. Of course we still have amusingly short action heros like Tom Cruise...or Robert Conrad.

  Rutger Hauer doesn&apos;t belong on this list. He had nowhere near the visibility of the rest of the actors on here. He was a blip who was never a star.
