At 73 i am learning how to slow stitch  ive Mended my whole life just now slow stitching is fun not a chore  i love all beautiful items id frame them all !!

One of the heartbreaking aspects of aging is losing fine motor coordination. I've always relished sewing by hand but find it has been getting much harder to hold my needle ect. I still love thinking about the meditative quality of stitching by hand and find I enjoy watching others do it! Beautiful work, thank you.

I stumbled across this video this morning and I'm so glad that I did.  This entire video was mesmerizing to me. I used to quilt ages ago and even further back in my younger years I used to embroider.  I'm excited to dig out my old fabrics, learn the sashiko stitches that you've used here and get to making some fun items out of long forgotten scraps.
