The section on Dogs is really quite depressing when you think about it

I actually didn't know that they were referring to Mary Whitehouse. It makes sense though because I know how much musicians and comedians hated her back then.

Animals, both the Pink Floyd Album and the 50's Animated Film adaptation of the Book, blew my mind. Can you do a Wish You Where Here lookback?

I hate that I immediately thought of Tommy when you said "Deaf, Dumb, and Blind" 😭

Also, there's an essay about this album in the anthology Pink Floyd and Philosophy, and it reinterprets "Pigs On The Wing" as a kind of Twilight Zone narrator, taking us into and delivering us from a world gone mad, devoid of compassion.

I think this video came out before the 2018 remix came out, which for me elevated the album even further for the most part. Even though I hate the new Sony remix of SOYCD where they did more than just put the two tracks together, I think the Animals remix is actually quite good.

How do you feel about the new remix?

By the way, this video is really incredible. You did an amazing job putting this together, and your analysis is in no way vapid. I have always wanted to put together a video on some things I have noticed in Floyd songs that I have never seen mentioned anywhere else, and this video mentions a couple of the things that I noticed in Animals.

Edit: By the way, I don’t think the Sheep ever take down the Pigs at the end of the song. They are still being told to stay home because there is danger outside, which tells me that the pigs stay. The triumph is a false triumph. I agree with the Pigs on the Wing analysis.
